HSS is Ranked No. 1 in Orthopedics for the Ninth Consecutive Year
U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals 2018-2019" survey ranked HSS as the No. 1 
hospital in the nation for orthopedics for the ninth consecutive year. We maintained the No. 3 ranking in the country for rheumatology and were named a best children's hospital for orthopedics. This is the 27th consecutive year HSS has been among the top-rated hospitals.

Dancing with the Rockettes
HSS pediatric patients met the legendary Rockettes

The Adaptive Sports Academy at the HSS Lerner Children's Pavilion partnered with the legendary Rockettes to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Radio City Music Hall for our pediatric patients. From learning a few of the Rockettes' signature moves to touring the Showplace of the Nation, participants were thrilled to spend time with these spectacular dancers.

New Partnerships with HSS
Ivy Rehab Network

HSS is collaborating with Ivy Rehab Network to create Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Centers of Excellence. Each Center will uphold standards in line with HSS world-class treatment. The first center recently opened in Englewood, New Jersey, and more than 30 additional centers will open in the next few years.

Aspen Valley Hospital

HSS is also partnering with Aspen Valley Hospital (AVH) to provide the world’s most advanced orthopedic care to Aspen community members and visitors. AVH will adopt HSS best practices and leverage our orthopedic resources and capabilities.

Notable Women in Healthcare
Four members of the HSS team were recently recognized for their accomplishments

Mary K. Crow, MD, Physician-in-Chief, Chair of the Department of Medicine and Chief of the Rheumatology Division, received the 2018 Presidential Gold Medal from the American College of Rheumatology. This is the highest honor that the College presents to one individual each year recognizing outstanding career achievements in rheumatology.

Additionally, Lisa Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer; Catherine H. MacLean, MD, PhD, Chief Value Medical Officer; and Hollis Potter, MD, Chair of the Department of Radiology and Imaging were named in the inaugural "Notable Women in Health Care in NYC" list in Crain's New York Business.

Iris Cantor Spine Clinic Dedication 
A transformative gift allows HSS to provide additional services

Friends and family of international philanthropist Iris Cantor, along with HSS leadership, gathered at the Hospital to celebrate the dedication of the Iris Cantor Spine Clinic with a ribbon cutting on October 22.

Mrs. Cantor, Chairman and President of the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Foundation, supported the Clinic with a gift in honor of Surgeon-in-Chief Todd J. Albert, MD.
