Support the HSS COVID-19 Response Fund

HSS is working around the clock in response to the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to providing essential care for New York City’s orthopedic patients, we have partnered with our neighboring hospital to provide critical care for COVID-19 patients. Your generous support will help us keep fighting and prepare us to get back to doing what we do better than anywhere else in the world.

Making a gift to the HSS COVID-19 Response Fund will help in this fight in the following ways:

  •   Care for COVID-19 Patients. Transform our facilities and support our team to care for patients affected by COVID-19 with ventilator-capable critical care units and negative-pressure environments.

  • Emergency Orthopedic Care Across the Region. Relieve the burden on emergency rooms throughout the city with an orthopedic trauma triage clinic in our main hospital and ortho-injury clinics throughout the region to treat patients who urgently need our expertise.

  • Expanded Virtual Care Offerings. Facilitate the rapid expansion of our telehealth program to enable HSS physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to continue to treat patients with musculoskeletal disorders in the safety and comfort of their own homes.

  • Employee Assistance. Help our employees meet basic needs including childcare, transportation, and housing, so they can focus on caring for patients.

  • Research. Accelerate the translation of our expertise in the underlying mechanisms of inflammation so we can better understand and treat tissue damage in the lungs related to COVID-19.

There’s no better time for friends of HSS to come together to help prepare for our return to a new normal—when our earned position as the leader in musculoskeletal health will be more important than ever.

In addition to supporting our immediate response, your gift will help to secure our future—equipping our world-class medical staff with the facilities, technology and equipment they need to provide life-changing care so that we can emerge from this crisis stronger than before.
